Registration & Licensing Process for
Healthcare Professionals in Qatar

The Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) under Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is the official body responsible for licensing healthcare practitioners to work legally in Qatar.

Primary Source Verification (PSV) is the process of verifying a healthcare professional’s academic, professional, and registration credentials directly from the issuing authority. This verification is conducted by DataFlow, the official partner approved by DHP–MOPH Qatar.

The Prometric exam can be taken either before or after completing the Primary Source Verification (PSV) process.

You can schedule the Prometric exam online using a valid government-issued ID (passport or national ID). Each candidate is allowed up to five attempts to pass the qualifying exam.

How the Prometric (Qatar) Exam Works

Exam Format & Content

The Prometric exam is a computer-based test consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions with a duration of 3 hours and 15 minutes. It assesses your professional knowledge and readiness to work in Qatar’s healthcare sector. The content and duration may vary depending on your specialty.

Attempts & Passing Criteria

Candidates are allowed up to five attempts to pass the exam. Results are usually available shortly after completion, and the scorecard will be sent via email. A minimum passing score of 50% is required.
